![]() Success Stories....
You have just been told that your dog has megaesophagus,
and you are probably feeling overwhelmed and scared.
Be assured that megaesophagus is not a death
sentence and that your dog can lead a good
quality of life with a few adaptations.
The first response that most owners of pets diagnosed with Megaesophagus receive from their attending Vet is -- euthanization. Most Vets are unsure of how to guide you, and often will say something like, "You can try...", based on what they were taught, but most do not have enough direct experience with megaesophagus and the associated disorders to be of help.
These stories are just a small sampling of what has been achieved. Please keep your spirits up and know that quality of life can be achieved.
Please help to increase awareness and spread the word.
